Conclusion

However you choose to piece together this mystery is up to you but to me the legends of the Bermuda Triangle are more then just a myth. I am convinced that there has to be some kind of supernatural occurrences within these claims. How can these events take place all in the same atmosphere and still be left unsolved or untraced for years and more years to come. For now no one really knows or understands where the lost ships and aircraft could have gone, but one this is certain that these strange events are out of this world, literally. Myths usually have some kind of bust, but try to figure this one out. Not so easy to come up with a legitimate answer.

Evidence

Being that the majority of the claims towards the Bermuda Triangle have been left unsolved, there are not many evidence to trace back to any of the disappearances. Although this is true, many theories explaining the deranged accuracies have been produced. According to Van Riper some of the more creditable explanations to these unsolved banishments can be attributed to troubled sea conditions for example unexpected weather changes and turbulence or unskilled pilots and sailors. Other rumored claims made to this legend are described to be powerful forces including alien invasion, time warps, new worlds, sea monsters, and ocean farts (Kidsworld Magazine). Despite these tempting rumors to believe they are not vey reliable or valid. The only factual indications made are those that can not fully explain the mysteries beneath the numerous disappearances. The area labeled as the Bermuda Triangle is the second place in the world where the true and the magnetic north pole align; triggering problems within compasses which in turn result in causing sailors and pilots to get lost. Another factual point made, describes the water patens of the Atlantic Ocean. The waters are not only difficult to navigate from but consist of factors that influence their ruggedness for example deep ocean trenches which can explain why these disappearances are left untraced.

In much the same way as other legends this supernatural myth is made up various chilling stories narrated by witnesses. These odd happenings are all linked together by great similarity claims. According to Journalist Gian Quasar, at least 80 aircraft (private and charter) along with many other ships ranging in sizes have fallen victims to the Bermuda Triangle in just the past 25 years. The U.S Navy and Air Force have been recorded to have the most encountered problems with this strange area; flight 19 being one of the most reckoned incidents. Flight 19 was the first official unexplained disappearance linked to the Bermuda Triangle.  December 5, 1945 marks the day the flight of five never returned from their routine training mission. That Afternoon 5 well experienced pilots took off from Fort Lauderdale not thinking they were never to be seen again. Two hours into their mission connection was lost and their disappearance was left untraced. To this day this chilling claim remains unsolved, leaving the Bermuda Triangle as one of the world’s biggest mysteries (Kidsworld Magazine).

The legendary mysteries of the Bermuda Triangle can be traced back to as early as the mid 1940’s. The first recorded incident occurred when the bombed torpedoes from the notorious flight five failed to return from a practice route. Although this may be one of the earliest recorded incidents it was not the first. According to a Kidsworld Magazine journal entry, Christopher Columbus experienced the earliest encounter with the deranged area while sailing to the Americas in 1492. It wasn’t until 1964 when the Argosy Magazine developed the concept of the Bermuda triangle (Van Riper). The theory was very foggy but became the explanation to many of the perplexing occurrences during this time period. Essentially the “Bermuda Triangle” then became the labeled name for the triangular shaped region of San Juan and Puerto Rico surfacing the Atlantic Ocean. The Legend of the Bermuda Triangle claims to be responsible for the many aircraft and ship disappearances tied to powerful forces creating time warps. Other explanations include UFO activity and even the lost continent of Atlantis.

Whether you believe it or not there are many enthusiast out there who are convinced of the existence of the paranormal and extraterrestrial activity. Not only that, but claim to have experienced such phenomenon. “Is this true?” you may ask while others claim for it to be nothing more then a whole bunch of nonsense. Others however, myself included, can not help but to wonder about the mystery behind the Devil’s Triangle or better known as the Bermuda Triangle. The tales told about long lost aircrafts and ships in the Atlantic Ocean are simply mind blowing and nearly impossible to not falling for. There have been many theories to these unsolved enigmas from scientific evidence to mythical explanations. Curiosity beats me when it comes to the factual truth beneath it all.
